… and sometimes you feel like falling on the floor laughing at these fundie fools. Of all the loony-tunes organizations that have absolutely no raison d’être, Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX) takes the big, gay wedding cake.
Here is Class-A theotard Regina Griggs with her panties in twist attempting to put the big anti-gay kabosh on marriage equality in New Jersey while doing a classic Chicken Little impression:

PFOX@pfox.orgMEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 9 /Christian Newswire/ — The New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee voted on Monday to advance the state’s genderless marriage bill to the full Senate for consideration. Speaking before the Committee, Julian Bond, chair of the NAACP, claimed it is unconstitutional to deny homosexuals marriage because “like our race, sexuality isn’t a preference. It’s immutable and unchangeable.”
“Genderless marriage?” If you’re going to make up shit, Regina, expect to lose folks early on. Two guys or two gals committing for life is anything but genderless. It’s two guys or two gals committing for life. Do you see where the whole gender thing slides in, Regina?
“Ex-gays?” They’re right up there with leprechauns, vampires, garden gnomes, unicorns, brownies, trolls, and hobbits on the long list of fantastical figments of human imagination. There is no such creature.
“Contrary to Bond’s statement equating skin color with homosexual behavior, major scientific studies and mental health associations have stated homosexuality is not innate,” said Regina Griggs, director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX). “No scientific evidence has found a ‘gay gene.’ No DNA or medical test can determine if a person is homosexual. Sexual orientation is a matter of self-affirmation and public declaration. Many African-Americans have come out of homosexuality, proving sexual orientation can change, but skin color does not.”
And those “major scientific studies and mental health associations” are? Care to name them, Regina?
Thought not.
Feel free to continue the race-baiting if you think it helps your cause.
“New Jersey State Senator Barbara Buono also endorses gay marriage, but refuses to recognize any rights for ex-gays and denies their very existence,” said Griggs. “During the debate of Buono’s bill to revise New Jersey’s hate crimes law to include gender identity, Senator Anthony Bucco offered an amendment to include ex-homosexuals.”
But Senator Buono rejected the amendment to protect former homosexuals.
If they’re truly “ex-gays” and not simply re-closeted gays, then they’re already protected, because they’d be, logically, straight — as in heterosexual. Right? Correct me if I’m wrong on that, Regina. Further, if they’re not “straight,” not “heterosexual,” then they’re not “ex-gays” either, are they, Regina?
Ms Griggs then proceeds to flap her PFOX-y lips for about three more paragraphs restating the same malarkey about the sky falling on select figments of her anti-gay imagination.
Sometimes you feel like a nut, and sometime you feel like your time is too valuable to waste paying attention to the Regina Griggses of the world.
