Ben Cartwright delivers the San Diego Pride TV weekly video podcast

This July, San Diego Pride will be honoring longtime-partnered and legally-married GLBT community members, Linda Smith & Niki Morehead (35 years together) and Vern Miller & Ray Wooding (50 years together).

Benny advises San Diego’s GLBT community to make a mad dash for the closet and drag out your kinkiest boots for a good cause!

Project OUT-Reach for Equality

From Marriage Equality USA-San Diego: Project OUT-Reach is a project where we are going into the areas around San Diego County where we lost Prop 8 looking for new supporters while educating the community about what’s happening around the issue of marriage equality and getting them involved in the next steps towards equality. Even by starting right now, we have less than two years to change the hearts and minds of 250,000 + 1 Californians by using earned media, demonstrations, public outreach and education. To be successful we cannot just organize in areas that are supportive. We must also reach out to communities that have not traditionally been our allies in this fight to bridge the gap in understanding. We will have conversations with people, both at their doors and in busy public spaces to raise consciousness about the issue as well as funds for the cause. We will keep our community energized and engaged as activists, fighting to win back our fundamental right to marry.

Time: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Lips Restaurant – in North Park
Street: 3036 El Cajon Blvd
City: San Diego
