Hero: In the screen capture above, queer activist Louis-Georges Tin addresses the United Nations on the historic occasion of the presentation to the United Nations of a statement on the universal decriminalization of homosexuality. The woman in the background is Rama Yade, the French Human Rights Minister who helped bring the statement to the UN.

Villain: The United States of America has again sided with the Vatican and the Islamic states against the decriminalization of homosexuality. The US refused to sign the document. There has been an immediate critical backlash against the US and the Bush Administration for their lack of support.
