MSFT and the “fear of God”

Looks like macho-man Pastor Ken Hutcherson, of Kirkland’s Antioch Bible Church, is still trying to make Microsoft his bitch.

Lurleen, over at Pam Spaulding’s House Blend, has a post up about homo-hater Hutcherson’s most recent attempt to take control of Microsoft, via his Buy Three, Donate One campaign, in which supporters were asked to purchase three shares of Microsoft stock and donate one to the AGN Financial Network. Donors were also advised to be prepared to vote, at this month’s shareholder’s meeting, against Microsoft’s traditional support both for its queer employees and against equality in the State of Washington.

Hutcherson showed up prepared, as he boasted, to “put the fear of God” into Microsoft, and his plan fell flat on its bigoted face with only 4.59% of the vote.

And, exactly what is AGN (Antioch Global Network)? It’s Pastor Ken Hutcherson’s own pocket.

When previously asked by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer whether his new financial initiative was a ploy to make money for his church, Hutcherson said, “Absolutely.”

“We’re going to need the finances to go to the next companies,” he said. “Anything you do successfully needs money.”

Maybe Pastor Ken’s next homo-unfriendly enterprise ought to be called MGB, Inc, for Money Grubbing Bigot.
