Californians Against Hate have released some disturbing new figures on the out-of-state money flowing into California in a mob-like effort to take away marriage equality.
From Californians Against Hate:
LOS ANGELES, CA – Californians Against Hate calculated the latest major contributions of $1000 and up to the Yes on Prop 8 campaign over the last 3 week period: October 1st – 21st. The updated figures continue to show that Mormon families are dominating the campaign by giving a staggering 77% of all money raised.
The new Mormon total is $19.15 million contributed by over 59,000 Mormon families in just over 3 months. This Mormon power grab continues at approximately the same level — 77% of the $24.89 million raised by the Yes on 8 since July 1, 2008. Non-Mormon donations are now at $5.74 since July 1, which represents 23% of the total.
There have been some large donations by Non-Mormons such as another $95,000 from Howard “Howie” Ahmanson of Newport Beach, CA, bringing his total to just under $1 million at $995,000. Josephine Templeton of Bryn Marr, Pennsylvania ($100,000) bringing that family’s total to $1 million and Robert Hurtt of Orange, CA, owner of Container Supply Company who gave an additional $250,000 bringing his total to $550,000. However, during the past 3 weeks, the majority of money continues to pour in from Mormon families in California and now many big donations are coming in from Utah.

77% of all money raised!! That is more than “staggering.” That should offend every single fair-minded Californian. Out-of-state special interest groups are trying to buy a California election. We need to get out of defensive mode and go on the offensive.
In the 1987 movie The Untouchables, the Sean Connery character, Malone, had the right idea: “They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.”

We should be running this campaign, Tom!
Unfortunately, due to their concerted effort to not offend anybody, the NO side is struggling in the polls, while the offensive bastards on the YES side parade Gavin Newsom and a pack of outright lies to a gullible portion of the population that don’t read newspapers, let alone elitist blogs, and get their “news” from crap sources like Donald Wildmon’s One News Now and Christianist Newswire.
Here’s the comment to which Tom was referring.
Mike: thanks!!! Did you get the latest poll numbers by the last email sent by Kors??? Got it just now via email. I say, WHAT-EVER!!! :)
Allow me to take the Mormon pic and let me post it in my own Blog..thanks Mike!!!
How does that commandment thingy go? Oh yeah… “Thou shalt not bear false witness against they neighbor.”
Or maybe the Mormons don’t follow the 10 Commandments. I dunno.
I think the Lard has given them a special dispensation to lie their lying asses off until 4 November.
Besides the Jews got their commandments on stone tablets, god had angels deliver a Franklin Mint, limited edition set on solid gold plates directly to Mormon founder Joseph Smith.
Oh! That calls for a Limerick:
A Mormon named Smith once conspired
To have all the wives he desired.
He amassed an array,
And remains to this day,
Their Polygamist Most Admired.
Everything you ever needed to know about the Mormons, right here.
Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!
Speaking of South Park … Is anybody else wondering if the Mormons bought off the Scientologists to keep them out of the Prop 8 campaign? At this point, now that they’ve blackmailed a few dozen Anti-8 businesses, nothing would surprise me.
I almost became a Mormon, trouble was I couldnt understand their bible. Seemed like science fiction, but was actually fiction. Bunch of looney people actually, too bad Utah has to suffer because of them.
You will be happy to know that last Sunday the Stake Presidents in Idaho ordered their congregations to stop the phone campaigns to their CA counterparts. It seems that the CA Mormons informed them that they did NOT appreciate being told how to vote by out-of-staters!
